Olivia Rodrigo might be gearing up for a new era with the release of her sophomore album, Guts, but she's also taking the time to take a walk down memory lane. In a recent interview, the star opened up about her High School Musical: The Musical: The Series days and revealed she actually took home a piece of Nini with her — literally.
Speaking on Bru On The Radio, Olivia Rodrigo was asked if she had stolen anything from the HSMTMTS set before departing the show, and she did not hesitate to spill. If you're wondering which item got the honor, wonder no more: “A Wildcats varsity jacket.”
Rodrigo isn't the only celeb whose klepto instincts kick in when about to depart a set for the last time. Just last year, Euphoria star Sydney Sweeney also admitted to recurrently stealing jeans from sets for an excellent reason. Shay Mitchell also revealed she took home multiple of her character Emily's costume pieces when Pretty Little Liars wrapped up.

Character wardrobes hold coveted mementos for actors, as you can see, but the varsity jacket is actually not the only item Rodrigo took with her from HSMTMTS. She also brought home an arguably less useful but far more sentimental piece. "I have like, you know, [how on] the director's chairs there's your name on the back? I took my little director's chair's insert off. So, I have that with my name on the back," she told the host. "That was a fun experience. I love those guys." We hope she framed it!
Though Rodrigo left HSMTMTS after season three, the series is very much not done yet. Season four of the High School Musical: The Musical: The Series is just around the corner and will be the franchise's final installment — so we can only hope there are enough varsity jackets left for the cast to snag up.
