While serving as host for the 2022 MTV Movie & TV Awards, Vanessa Hudgens debuted one of her most dramatic hair transformations to date, temporarily becoming a redhead thanks to a colorful wig.
The former High School Musical star partook in numerous 'fit changes throughout the show. After walking the red carpet in a custom blue Vera Wang gown, complete with a seriously impressive train, she took to the stage in a completely different look where Vanessa's long dark hair was hidden beneath a super short red wig.
The red bob came with micro bangs and looked perfect when paired with Vanessa's latex corset top and shorts. Her shortened hairstyle hit above her bare shoulder, which made the silver buttons on the front of her 'fit stand out. She continued the all-latex theme with knee-high platform boots.
It sure looks like the redhead moment must have been one of Vanessa's favorite looks from the night as she shared it on her Instagram with the caption, “Ima just leave y’all with this.” The closeup of the ‘fit’s accompanying glam included a seriously smoky eye and a pinky nude lip. She tagged some of the people responsible for the glam, including hairstylist Danielle Priano and MUA Tonya Brewer.

Additional on-stage looks for the host included a high ponytail that delivered on Ariana Grande vibes, super cute space buns, loose waves, and even a cowboy hat with braided pigtails. With each change in glam came a change in outfits and, TBQH, Vanessa nailed every look. (You can see them all below.)
It seems like Vanessa is really enjoying host lately. She manned the microphone at the 2022 Oscars and the Met Gala, where she served as a cohost on the red carpet. Fashion's biggest night saw Vanessa donning a sheer gown with visible underwear. She kept her natural hair color for the night, but, who knows, maybe another bright color change could be in her future!
