It's time to get back on the field. Sidelined 2: Intercepted, the highly-anticipated sequel to the YA Tubi Original Sidelined: The QB and Me starring Noah Beck and Siena Agudong, is almost here — and Teen Vogue is exclusively revealing its fall premiere date and never-before-seen images from the upcoming film.
Like its first installment, Sidelined 2: Intercepted is based on the Wattpad hit The QB Bad Boy and Me written by Tay Marley. According to the synopsis shared by Tubi, the new rom-com sequel will follow freshman star quarterback Drayton (with Noah Beck reprising the role) “as he struggles with the weight of expectations after a devastating setback.” Meanwhile, Dallas (played once more by Siena Agudong) is chasing her dancer dreams, yet beginning to “question the future she thought she wanted.”
“As their high school relationship begins to unravel under the pressures of distance and self-discovery, they’ll learn that the bravest versions of themselves emerge when they let life redirect them,” the synopsis concludes.
Sidelined 2: Intercepted welcomes the return of original cast members James Van Der Beek and Drew Ray Tanner, as well as the addition of new cast mates like Roan Curtis and Charlie Gillespie; Gillespie will play Skylar, a CalArts senior who is also a musician. Director Justin Wu is also returning to helm the latest chapter in the Sidelined universe, with Crystal Ferreiro writing the script and Noah Beck and Siena Agudong coming on board as executive producers for the film.
Tubi has exclusively confirmed that Sidelined 2: Intercepted will premiere on the platform on Thanksgiving Day, November 27, 2025. The streamer will also be providing a new, free 4K live stream of the Turkey Day face-off between the Detroit Lions and Green Bay Packers, so you'll be able to get your fill of football and the other greatest game ever played: teenage love.
