After our brief stint in the virtual space, the Teen Vogue team was able to host Teen Vogue Summit back in-person in sunny Los Angeles. The sold out all-day event filled with on-site activities and panels left attendees inspired by information on climate change, career building, mental health and representation.

Panelists ranged from Leah Thomas, founder of Intersectional Environmentalist; Rare Beauty Chief Marketing Officer Katie Welch; Women’s National Basketball Association MVP & Champion and WNBPA President, Nneka Ogwumike; and featured actor, comedian, and screenwriter Mindy Kaling

Hayley Kiyoko kicked off the day performing several songs from her most recent album, Expectations. The 30-year-old singer, songwriter and actress even took time to speak out about the importance of protecting women’s fundamental rights.

“I just want to remind you all to stay compassionate as much as you can, to care for others, and use your voice to help protect, and use your votes to help protect women’s rights,” Kiyoko says.

The evening ended with singer-songwriter Olivia Rodrigo chatting with editor-in-chief Versha Sharma and performing her hit song “good 4 u.” Rodrigo, when asked about future plans, hinted at a possible tour and the crowd erupted in screams. The “drivers license” singer officially announced the Monday after Summit that she’d be going on a world tour.

Teen Vogue Summit’s return to in-person was filled with vaccinated and masked-up fun for everyone in attendance. We had our Teen Vogue editors hanging out around and behind the scenes capturing the special moments shared at Summit. Below, you can enjoy all the special shots we captured via our Polaroid cameras at this year’s Teen Vogue Summit.
