Taylor Swift loves doing her own nails; she frequently DIYs her manis, whether it's multicolored nails to represent her different eras, sparkly stars for the Midnights album release, glam short gold nails or her latest set, a festive red and green look that you can definitely recreate on your own.
Swift attended the premiere of her pal Emma Stone's new movie Poor Things wearing a glamorous all-black winter ensemble of a slinky black bodycon dress paired with a black Mongolian lamb fur coat. She accented the all-black ‘fit with a multicolored holiday manicure with alternating green and red shades on every other finger. Swift’s nails, per usual, are filed short in a square shape — ideal for playing guitar — and she chose a deep ruby red and rich emerald instead of brighter crimson and kelly shades, giving it a luxe glamour. A handful of rings, her signature red lip and loose curls completed her movie premiere look.
Luckily for us, Swift's shades are pretty easy to find at your local drugstore or department store, not a special custom color creation by a nail pro. For your green nails, try an evergreen polish like Essie's Off Tropic or Londontown's Nail Color in Vibe. For the red nails, Essie's Berry Naughty is a rich, dark red like Swift's. Stick to the simple cream colors or mix it up with glitter toppers, stickers or gemstones — this is the kind of manicure you can easily get creative with, especially as we approach the holidays themselves.
