For someone who has stuck to a seriously signature look for the past few years, Taylor Swift is throwing us all for a loop. When the May cover star of Vogue rocked a temporary platinum blonde bob that people couldn’t stop raving about in the mag, it seemed to spark a beauty metamorphosis. For her first Coachella experience, Taylor bleached her hair to match her Vogue vibe, permanently. Since Taylor’s clearly been down to experiment with her look recently, it’s not a surprise that she would eventually switch up her makeup as well. Because every new hair color calls for some tweaks to beauty and style.

For her supermodel BFF Gigi Hadid’s 21st birthday celebration, Taylor Swift officially traded in her signature crimson lipstick for a much bolder hue. While partying with Gigi, Kendall, Lily Aldridge, and HAIM, Taylor wore a deep purple hue, straying from her “red lips classic thing that you like.” Her dark pout is the perfect contrast to her newly icy white hair, and is an ideal badass color for a night out with the girls. This edgier vampy option is definitely something we can get used to on Taylor, because let’s face it, she looks incredible. Paired with a holographic sequined dress, and not much else on her face, all eyes are on her newest beauty move.

To match your own lips to Taylor’s, you can try a variety of deep purple lip shades yourself. Nars Audacious lipstick in Liv, NYX soft matte lip cream in Transylvania, and MAC lipstick in Cyber are all perfect options for making Taylor’s look your own.
