When 12-year-old Jorja Hope was diagnosed with a condition that would lead to the progressive loss of her hearing and eventually, deafness, she was overcome by one sadness in particular: she wouldn’t be able to hear her idol, Taylor Swift, sing anymore. Her twin sister Chloe stepped in, creating a Facebook group and hashtag called #HelpJorjaMeetTaylorSwiftSydney, and it was eventually picked up by Nova 96.9, who gave the cause enough publicity that it got Taylor’s attention.
It turns out, their efforts paid off. Jorja’s wildest dreams came true when she not only got to see Taylor perform live, but also meet her in person, thanks to the efforts of her sister and many well-meaning strangers.
“Things like this happen to other people, not to people like us,” Jorja’s mother Melissa told the Australian Today show. “It’s been a fairy tale.”

“Jorja has battled her whole life from being born preemie with growth problems, to surgeries on her ears already and five surgeries for broken bones,” her mother also told Today. “She is a fighter. No matter what happens, she smiles and keeps going.” As for Taylor, she said that she was “very, very amazing and very pretty,” and that she “didn’t expect her to be as tall as she was.” (And that’s without the killer heels she’s been rocking all tour long.)
And while this wasn't included in Swiftmas 2015, it's definite proof that Swifty Claus is back in town.
