These police puppies are taking the phrase good dog to a whole other level. The K-9 unit of Taiwan's National Police Agency (NPA) has announced the arrival of a few new recruits, a litter of six puppies, who will use their powers of extreme cuteness to fight crime when they grow up.

As Mashable reports, the pups, all born on May 9, will eventually report for duty at the NPA's Anti Bomb and Drug unit. Their mom, a dog named Yellow, is one of the 22 canines currently serving in the unit.

The NPA first shared photos of the puppies — named Lucky Star, Schumann, Feida, Brother, AJ, and Full Moon — to its Facebook page. "In the future, we hope they can be like their mother Yellow by passing training and entering the department's canine family. Be sure to cheer them on when you see them on patrol in the future," the post reads, according to the China Post.

And from the looks of this next-generation K-9 unit, they're already prepping for serious police work. In the so-cute-they-should-be-illegal pictures, the puppies can be seen modeling their official police vests (which barely fit!), being cradled by a police officer, and lounging on top of a police car's sirens. Their current mission: learning to keep their eyes open long enough to sniff out the bad guys.
