Stray Kids have made changes to their upcoming schedules after three members of the group were involved in a car accident.
News of the "minor collision," as JYP Entertainment described it, was shared on Stray Kids' fan community forum on September 20, 2023, with a link to the statement shared on the group's official Twitter page.
"While returning to their dorms after a schedule on September 20, the vehicle carrying Stray Kids members Lee Know, Hyunjin, and Seungmin was involved in a minor collision," the note reads. "After the minor collision, Lee Know, Hyunjin, and Seungmin immediately visited a hospital and received a thorough medical examination. None of the members and accompanying staff in the vehicle were seriously injured, but as they have sustained mild muscle pain and bruises, medical professionals have advised that they receive conservative treatment for the time being."
As part of that treatment, the group's upcoming schedules have been shifted, with some of their upcoming promotions being affected. Among the canceled events are Lee Know and Hyunjin's respective appearances at Milan Fashion Week. Hyunjin was appointed as a global ambassador of Versace in July, so he was expected to attend the brand's spring-summer 2024 showcase on September 22. Lee Know, on the other hand, was reportedly going to attend Sabato De Sarno's debut show for Gucci the same day.
Seungmin, whose birthday also falls on September 22, was planning to host his traditional broadcast for the occasion, which this year was to be held on YouTube and has also since been canceled.
Aside from these individual appearances, all eight members of Stray Kids were also set to return to the U.S. to perform at the 2023 Global Citizen Festival taking place on Saturday, September 23, in NYC's Central Park on the Great Lawn. The schedule has now been modified, with 3RACHA (a.k.a. members Bang Chan, Changbin, and Han) replacing the full group for the event.
For now, no other schedules have been affected. We are wishing Lee Know, Hyunjin, and Seungmin a speedy recovery.
