Earlier this spring, Sayeed Shahidi enlisted big sis Yara to help craft the perfect promposal for Storm Reid. (There was a poster, some aptly placed puns, and a collage involved — it was impressive, to say the least.) Spoiler alert: she said yes, and now, the momentous occasion has arrived!
On Saturday, April 13, Storm blessed us with an Insta post revealing their chosen looks for the big evening. As expected, Sayeed looked iconic in a classic black tux, and Storm was an absolute vision in pink tulle. She rocked a pale pink Tory Burch gown with layers of tiered ruffles and delicately romantic fluttering sleeves, from the designer’s spring/summer 2019 collection, pairing the dress with heels by Tamara Mellon. She chose to go with a classic French mani, and her hair was twisted into a sky-high updo, but it was her makeup that has us truly swooning.

Storm kept the look fairly fresh-faced, emphasizing the blush tones of her gown with a nude lip and rosy cheeks. The drama was squarely focused on her eye makeup, revealing a bold interpretation of a traditional cat-eye that included coppery-pink crystals in lieu of an extended wing, with a single crystal placed below each lower lashline.

We’re obsessed, and it’s safe to say Sayeed was, too — he regrammed her look to his Insta stories, captioning the shot, “so beautiful” with a slew of heart-eye and crying emoji to boot.

While we only have a few snaps of the happy couple pre-prom, we’ll definitely be keeping tabs on their Instas for more to be revealed. One thing is for sure — these two know how to absolutely slay in formalwear, and they’ve got us more than excited for prom season to be in full swing.
