It looks like Greta Gerwig's Barbie movie didn't use all the pink paint in the world after all, because gallons of it have gone to building Barbie's DreamHouse IRL in Malibu, California, and it could very well be the accommodation for your next vacation.
Yes, folks, the famous doll's iconic pink and newly renovated mansion is now available to rent on Airbnb, but there's a twist: Ken's playing host at the DreamHouse, not Barbie. "Welcome to my Kendom! While Barbie is away, she has handed over the keys to her Malibu DreamHouse this summer, and my room could be yours for the night," the property's description reads on Airbnb. “I've added a few touches to bring some much-needed Kenergy to the newly renovated and iconic Malibu DreamHouse. Placed perfectly above the beach with panoramic views, this life-size toy pink mansion is a dream come true!”
Booking for the oceanfront DreamHouse opens at 10 a.m. PT on Monday, July 17, and competition will be fierce as only two, one-night stays for up to two guests will be up for grabs. Per a press release shared about the listing, all stays will be free of charge, but there is a small caveat: Guests need to book their stay for either July 21 or July 22, 2023, which is exactly when the Barbie movie is slated to premiere in theaters. So if you've already got movie tickets, think twice before entering the booking lottery.
Also, Airbnb makes it clear: “These one-night stays are not a contest. Guests are responsible for their own travel to and from Malibu. This home is privately owned and operated.”

Of course, if you end up being one of the guests at the DreamHouse, Ken will be your most gracious host. Though he has no reviews on the site, his pristine Ryan Gosling profile photo is enough to trust him, we think. In his bio, Ken describes the house as "selfie central" and encourages guests to “snap some photos along the way.”
“We all have dreams, and Barbie is lucky enough to have a house full of them,” Ken shared in the press release. “But now, it’s my turn, and I can’t wait to host guests inside these one-of-a-kind – dare I say, one-of-a-Ken? – digs.”
The IRL Barbie DreamHouse will include amenities such as: utilizing Ken's wardrobe full of "beach ‘fits," an outdoor disco dance floor, use of Ken’s guitar, and an impressive infinity pool. The place also has Wifi and air conditioning, but no kitchen or TV because, duh, dolls don't cook or need external distractions. If you are one of the lucky ones to win the stay, you can "take home a piece of the Kendom" with your own set of yellow-and-pink Impala skates and surfboards.
