We are officially entering spring 2026, which means it’s time to upgrade our shoe rotation with the best sneaker trends of the season.
When we looked at spring-summer sneaker trends last year, we noticed a lot of retro styles popping up, along with flatter styles, often inspired by sports like taekwondo and ballet, also taking over. For spring 2026, we are still seeing many of those styles trending, but bigger, bolder silhouettes are also pushing through the noise as temperatures rise and we leave winter behind. (Nobody wants cold feet, both literally and figuratively!)

1. Skater-inspired silhouettes
If you grew up in the ‘00s, then you’d know skater-inspired sneakers were the hottest sneakers. Low-top silhouettes with a bulky body are making a comeback, thanks to styles like the adidas Campus, which have the stamp of approval from Bad Bunny and BLACKPINK member Rosé. The latter has also favored the style with an option from Maison Mihara Yasuhiro. If you want to be even more faithful to the Y2K shoe trend, you can never go wrong with DC shoes or Etnies—just ask Billie Eilish!

Low-profile suede sneakers, like the Puma Speedcat, are still all the rage, but instead of black or red, make your choice a little more seasonal by opting for a taupe or chocolate-brown colorway. What’s great about these styles is that they are not only a statement but also extra supportive, making them ideal if you spend a lot of time on your feet.
4. adidas Superstars
Last August, we reported that Adidas Superstars were making a comeback, and we stand by that for spring 2026. Cosigned by the likes of KATSEYE’s Manon, various members of Stray Kids, and models galore, this classic style is a safe bet year-round, especially in the transition from winter into spring, thanks to its rubber toe, which makes it extra-rainproof.
5. Colorful Salomons
If you are a fan of functionality and the classic dad shoe, Salomon sneakers have been massively popular over the last couple of years, and that’s not stopping anytime soon—I mean, even Belly from The Summer I Turned Pretty has a couple of pairs. If you don’t already own a pair of these gorpcore staples and want to see what the hype is all about, but also want to stand out in a sea of technical hiking shoes, then opting for a colorful model instead of the classic muted colorways is the way to go this season.
6. Nike Air Max 95
Classic dad sneakers from New Balance, ASICS, and Saucony have been trending for various seasons now, since they prioritize comfort and style. However, inspired by the style of Love Story and John F. Kennedy Jr. and Carolyn Bessette, the Nike Air Max 95 is poised to become the most popular silhouette in this category in the coming months. Both IRL and on the show, the couple wears matching all-white pairs of the classic style. However, there are plenty of other colorways available.
7. adidas Tokyo
While adidas's Taekwondo shoes became ultra popular in 2025, another flat style is taking over this year: the adidas Tokyo, which has already been spotted in fashion weeks all around the globe. It also has the cosign of Emma Chamberlain, Jennie Kim, and Jennifer Lawrence. This style comes in color combos aplenty, so you can find your trademark or opt for a duochrome classic.
8. adidas Samba
The adidas Samba was the indispensable queen of sneakers for years, and Harry Styles is single-handedly making sure the reign continues during his Kiss All The Time, Disco Occasionally era. The star rocked his pair for a surprise appearance during Ryan Gosling's SNL monologue and has continued to don them all over NYC. This time, he's rocking a black pair, but he's also favored the white in the past. If you had neglected your Sambas, it's time to bring them back!
9. A touch of pink
If you are a fan of a monochromatic look, a good way to add a pop of color to your outfit is with bright sneakers. Pink seems to be a particularly popular choice, with the Nike Field General and the adidas Gazelle leading the charge.
10. A touch of yellow
If pink is not your cup of tea, then yellow sneakers are the most timeless option when it comes to colorful sneakers. 12. Heel it up
Heeled sneakers are still in high demand for those daring enough to make a bold statement. While sneaker wedges are the most popular choice, gaining the Gen Alpha stamp of approval via North West and Blue Ivy, you can also channel a traditional high-heeled silhouette if you want all eyes on your feet. One way to easily breathe new life into your sneaker collection without buying new shoes is to replace the laces. Colorful laces have been spotted across fashion weeks worldwide. Miu Miu’s New Balance collab is undoubtedly the inspiration, but they don’t have to stop there. Get your old sneakers and switch out the laces for an affordable pop of fun. Basically, any pair of lace-up shoes will do!
14. Super slim soles with a retro flair
There's a high-fashion trend embracing retro shoes with super-slim soles. Prada's collapse re-nylon sneakers, Jacquemus's Moon shoes with Nike, Vivaia's ballet sneakers, and Simone Rocha's ballerina grip sneakers all fall into this flat sneakers aesthetic if you want to tap into the minimalist trend in the new year. The best part is they are super wearable and often slip-on.
15. Silver chrome
Chrome accents are all the rage these days in nail trends and interior designs, so, of course, sneaker trends would be no exception. Embraced by models at Paris Fashion Week, silver sneakers can add a Y2K flair to any simple 'fit.
