Sex Lives of College Girls Outfits from Season 3 Graded by Style, Practicality, and Just Vibes

This is one class you don’t want to miss.
Sex Lives of College Girls Amrit Kaur Alyah CHanelle Scott

Season 3 of Sex Lives of College Girls puts our leading ladies through a metamorphosis. The show itself has seen several changes, too. Reneé Rapp (who plays Leighton) exited the series in episode two this season. And we’ve gained two new characters: Mia Rodgers as Taylor and Gracie Lawrence as Kacey. So, we’re seeing Bela, Whitney, and Kimberly (played by Amrit Kaur, Alyah Chanelle Scott, and Pauline Chalamet, respectively) experience a whole new Essex College.

Season 3 starts off rocky, with Kimberly and Whitney dealing with their friendship breakup over Whitney’s ex, Canaan (Christopher Meyer). This isn’t all that long-lasting, especially after being introduced to the ultra-wealthy and attractive Isaiah (played by Devin Craig), who can’t keep his eyes or hands off Whitney. Our entire group of dormies-turned-besties is seeing an influx of relationships and hookups this season. Because of these new relationships brewing, campus events, and parties, the girls have been dressing to impress.

We decided to round up some of the most iconic looks from season 3 of Sex Lives of College Girls, brought to our screens by costume designer Phoenix Mellow, and grade them. We might not be as blunt as Leighton or Lila, but we will evaluate them based on wearability, styling, and overall vibes. Scroll on to see if your favorite character passed the test.

First, we have our sorority queen, Whitney. While this matching look from Jaded London was scrapped by a majority vote from her Kappa sisters, it makes this list because it is incredibly on-theme and stylish.

Goodbyes are incredibly tough, and losing Leighton has to qualify as one of the toughest — harder than any STEM course Whitney could ever take. And while the tears were in full effect in this scene, we couldn’t look away from all the girl’s outfits. From Whitney’s multi-print blue suit to Bela’s sparkling bomber jacket, the girls know how to say goodbye in style.

Whitney and Isaiah are our new favorite couple (situationship) — if Whitney doesn’t start digging back into the trash for someone she already threw away. While we don’t have an ID on the jacket, Isaiah’s blue checkered sweater works perfectly with his look. There’s a confidence there, and you can see it in every detail of his look.

Whitney and Leighton are arguably our favorite duo. Their chemistry is like no other on the show, partly due to the relationship Rapp and Scott have in real life. Together this duo is always going to be looking like they’re having a blast, which makes us all want to buy in, outfits included.

Our studious star student and athlete Whitney has preppy chic down packed. If she were on TikTok, she’d probably be the leading college influencer running the academia core movement. This green v-neck with the white shirt buttoned underneath with a pair of dark wash True Religion jeans is the perfect look for class, or studying in your dorm.

If there’s one thing Gen Z loves, it's Y2K style, and Kimberly and Bela are no different. Between Bela’s cheeky whale tail showing and Kimberly’s furry cuffs, both girls are doing nostalgia styling well.

One thing we can always count on Bela for is to be the raunchy friend totally in tune with her wants and needs. But she also is always serving fashion moments as well. This off-the-shoulder red zip shirt from Free People goes perfectly with her pleated Alice + Olivia skirt.

Isaiah entered Essex College with a luxury wardrobe of dreams. This basketball court moment is one of our favorites, even though it seems silly to wear a $600 Balenciaga shirt to run around and throw a basketball in. Maybe that’s just to show how little money means to him, but either way, we’re loving every moment of it.

Kacey is in for a very formative awakening, joining this rambunctious group of roommates, and we’re excited to see how her style evolves. This moment feels very Leighton circa season one with a blue blazer-like jacket and tweed-like bustier shirt underneath. Pairing it with jeans makes it a bit more casual, which is necessary when you’re as forward as Kacey. Bela’s overalls and striped shirt have a nerdy, elevated vibe that speaks all too well to her personality.

Is this a new duo forming because we’re here for it. Western wear is all the rage right now, and both Bela and Kacey are serving looks. From Bela’s layered gingham moment to Kacey’s flared romper, both girls look like stylish cowgirls.

Queen Lila always knows how to make an entrance. Her fashion show was one of the most memorable scenes from this season, so it’s no wonder she’s becoming a fashion it girl herself. Her Windsor embellished plunge-neck dress was a moment and paired nicely with all of her silver jewelry.

Jocelyn is one of the best secondary characters on SLOCG. She always comes in with a great one-liner that leaves us all laughing. And one of our favorite things is her confidence. She knows she looks good, which is why her outfits are always telling the same story. This yellow Simon Miller cut-out shirt paired well with the iridescent jeans.

Depending on who you’re talking to, this is just two residence advisors and one of their mentees or the greatest love triangle slowly brewing. We’re not all too sure what’s going to happen here, but we can confirm all of these looks are keeping us engaged. Taylor, one of the newest students at Essex, has a very distinct personality, and her style is no different. She will surely be stealing the show throughout the rest of the series. Bela leaned in once again to a very studious school girl style moment and we aren’t complaining. Arvind has become our favorite awkward boy to step onto this show but this look here is making him seem rather suave.

Actress Ruby Cruz has joined the show playing Ash, a potential love interest for Taylor and we’re already dreaming about all the looks we’re going to see these two in together. Taylor’s red cropped shirt and a sweater go perfectly with her denim jeans. Ash’s cargo shorts and patterned button-down are stylish yet comfortable, the perfect look when exploring a new crush.
