On August 1st, French luxury fashion house Dior named SEVENTEEN’s Mingyu its newest ambassador.
And ICYMI: The iconic brand just posted a slew of photos of Mingyu stylishly and effortlessly sporting Dior to its official Insta account while welcoming him as the new ambassador. In the first post, the caption reads, “Dior is delighted to welcome MINGYU (@Min9yu_K) from SEVENTEEN (@SayTheName_17) as its new ambassador. Pictured here in a burgundy Oblique suit, the musical artist incarnates the spirit and singularity of the Dior allure, endlessly reinvented by @KimJonesStudio, Artistic Director of the House’s menswear collections.”

In another image, Mingyu leans on a dark wooden surface in a high-neck sheer top with a matching collared blazer and pants. And last, but not least, in the last image, Mingyu is pictured standing in a suit while holding a chair with the caption, “The perfect embodiment of the modern Dior men’s aesthetic, the SEVENTEEN member exudes understated elegance in a burgundy Bar jacket and pants by @KimJonesStudio.”
Can Dior’s ambassador roster get anymore iconic? The answer is yes, it just did. Mingyu is certainly in good company as the brand’s newest ambassador alongside other K-pop icons, including BLACKPINK’s Jisoo and BTS’ Jimin.
It is hard to believe that it was just in March 2024 that Mingyu attended his first Dior fashion show in Paris. However, Mingyu and SEVENTEEN are definitely no strangers to fashion and have been making style strides since their 2015 debut. Last year, Vernon was named as KENZO's global ambassador, and Joshua was chosen as Givenchy Beauty’s ambassador, furthering the global intersection of the music, fashion, and beauty industries alike. Amidst Mingyu’s new high-fashion appointment, there are undeniably even more fun fashion statements pending.
