Looks like Selena Gomez did a social media cleanse for the New Year, as hawkeyed fans noticed that the "Wolves" singer unfollowed a couple hundred people on Instagram this week.
According to screenshots posted on Twitter late Saturday night, the 25-year-old went from following 316 people to 35. As of midday Monday, she's now following 37 people. Selena has also changed her profile picture to an old shot of her mother, Mandy Teefey, and has updated her bio.
Many people pointed out that she unfollowed people including Demi Lovato, Camila Cabello, the 13 Reasons Why cast, and more. Here are the accounts that she still is following:
But of course, it's important to take this news with a grain of salt. Celebs are known to change up their social media presence right before big announcements. Selena also revealed last year in an interview that she doesn't even post to the account herself and that her assistant has the password. So until we get more clarification on what's going on, it's best not to speculate what the unfollows may "mean" — if they mean anything at all.
