You might have missed it but we are here to tell you: Selena Gomez had a Jennifer Lawrence moment at the SAG Awards 2022.
As noted by People, the star took a tumble on the red carpet at the esteemed awards ceremony, tripping on the stiletto Louboutin heels she wore under her bold black Oscar de la Renta gown. (The shoe managed to fall extremely glamorously from her foot in a true Cinderella fashion because, well, everything she does is iconic.)

Luckily for Selena, someone was there to catch her and help her literally get back on her feet so she did not suffer any major injuries. But if you thought Sel's shoe debacle ended there, you'd be mistaken.
Seemingly to avoid another misstep, Selena decided to graciously skip the shoes altogether for the rest of the event. She even eschewed her footwear when presenting alongside her Only Murders in the Building costar Martin Short, opting instead to walk onstage barefoot. (The pair presented West Side Story star Ariana DeBose with the award for Outstanding Female Actress in a Supporting Role.)
We don’t blame Sel one bit for this — the gown looked great sans shoes, and she was probably much more comfortable making the strides to the podium without the threat of tripping.
ICYMI: Selena’s glam squad shared a transformation video of the star in casual clothes with no makeup before the event, then in full hair, makeup, and gown before the show. Alongside her stunning dress, Selena wore Bulgari gems, including a glittering choker and an emerald ring that matched her green manicure.
Makeup artist Hung Vanngo gave her a fresh, peachy glow — of course, using Rare Beauty — while hairstylist Marissa Marino crafted a sleek, center-parted knot that let the dress and jewels (and Selena herself) shine. Shoes or no shoes, it was a big glam moment for Selena, and she totally rocked it.
