Sabrina Carpenter has arrived on the Met Gala 2026 red carpet! The “House Tour” singer has climbed the famous Met steps before, but tonight is extra-special because she’s part of this year's host committee. Naturally, her look didn’t disappoint.
For the theme “Costume Art” and dress code “Fashion Is Art,” Carpenter wore a literally filmy dress made entirely of reels from, you guessed it, the movie Sabrina. The Jonathan Anderson Dior piece is her “dream dress,” she revealed on the Vogue live stream. “I'm trying to be as playful as possible before it all goes to sh*t.”
On the beauty front, Carpenter went with relatively minimal glam, pink lips and strong brows. Her signature long blonde hair was curled Old Hollywood style. Her flapper-inspired headpiece featured the word “Sabrina” in the middle. Her nails were pink with black tips.
Carpenter’s Met Gala attendance comes just off the heels of her Coachella performance, where she pretty much exemplified the power of costume art. Her elaborate sets featured a number of different outfits to match, including an extravagant sculptural cape and a retro gold minidress with flowing sleeves.
Previously, Carpenter has opted for classically chic Met Gala looks, including her debut in 2022, when she wore a glittering gold Paco Rabanne matching set. Returning in 2024, she wore a two-tone gown from Oscar de la Renta. And in 2025, she chose a pants-less suit from Louis Vuitton by Pharrell.
But if we’ve learned anything from Carpenter's past appearances, it’s that her after-party look is also going to be one to look out for tonight! Watch this space.
