Rihanna Apparently Has No Time for Diplo's Music

Rihanna has no time for Diplo — according to, well, Diplo.

That's right, according to a new interview with GQ Style, the Major Lazer member admits that he's apparently been trying to get her collab for a few years. Unfortunately for him, Rih has allegedly turned him down every time — and with some pretty savage burns.

“I think before we're all done, she'll be on a song of [Major Lazer's]. Hopefully. But if not, I don't really care. I played her “Lean On.” She was like, I don't do house music. I face-palmed so hard on that one. Another time I had a session with her, and Future was also invited. The Weeknd was there. Metro Boomin was there before anybody knew who he was...Future played her, like, 700 songs. It was four in the morning. Finally, I was like, Yo, G, I'm leaving unless you let me play her a song. So I played her a song. And she was like, This sounds like a reggae song at an airport. [laughs] I was like, I'm gonna go kill myself.”

The anecdote was soon picked up by the internet, and now Twitter is LOLing at Rihanna’s ability to speak up for her taste and not giving the boy the time of day — and to generally applaud the existence of Rihanna (obviously). No word yet on whether Rihanna herself has a response to Diplo's comments, but this is all more proof that when she does choose to speak, it will be iconic.
