They got their girl! Rihanna and A$AP Rocky have officially announced the birth of their third child together, a sweet baby girl.
On Wednesday, September 24, Rihanna took to Instagram to post a photo of herself holding her newborn baby, decked out in in pink bows, pink lace booties, and a rose-pink onesie. Rih also confirmed that she and Rocky would be continuing the R-name tradition with their new bundle of joy, confirming their baby girl's name: Rocki Irish Mayers.
Rocki is named, in a way, to be A$AP Rocky's junior with a feminine twist, ending her name with an i instead of a y. On the next slide of Rihanna's announcement post were two mini pink boxing gloves with pink ribbon — an ode to another famous Rocky, Mr. Balboa.
Rocki is Rihanna and A$AP Rocky's (whose given name is Rakim Mayers) third baby, whom she formally announced on the 2025 Met Gala red carpet; big brother RZA Athelston was born in May 2022 and middle child Riot Rose was born in August 2023 after being announced during his mom's Super Bowl Halftime Show set in early 2023. According to Rih's post, Rocki entered the world on September 13, 2025.
Rihanna and A$AP Rocky went public with their relationship during the spring of 2021, and have been vocal about their dreams of building a large family together. In an interview with Elle published just one day before Rihanna introduced Rocki to the public, A$AP Rocky spoke about the couple's desires for a baby girl.
“I hope it’s a girl. I really do. We’re praying for a girl,” the rapper and fashion designer told the magazine. “Our first time, we wanted to know the sex of the baby. The second time, we didn’t want to know. Third time, we don’t want to know until, you know… I feel like it’s going to be a girl. This pregnancy is so different from the other two. You can tell from the experience. I hope it’s a baby girl, man. I need that.”
Speaking to Interview back in April 2024, Rihanna said she would have “as many [more children] as God wants me to have,” adding: “I don’t know what God wants, but I would go for more than two. I would try for my girl. But of course if it’s another boy, it’s another boy.”
Later in April 2024, Rih opened up about her early struggles adjusting to life sartorially as a boy mom. "When I dress them, I always try to dress them like Rocky," she told Entertainment Tonight. “Because I always envision dressing a girl, right? We all do as women, like, 'Oh, I'm going to dress her in these cute little things,' but then you get sons and you're like, 'What do I do?' and I was like, 'You know what, I have the biggest hack — their dad.'”
Then, in June 2024, Rihanna joked to ExtraTV that “everybody is pushing” for her to have a baby girl. “Look, if I ever get a daughter, I am going to show her so much footage — she’s been talked about forever,” the singer and beauty mogul joked. "A spicy little girl would be so fun.”
