Rihanna and A$AP Rocky know how to work a red carpet. Their debut (even though they were a rumored couple at the time) at the Fashion Awards in 2020 saw them rock synergetic looks from Rihanna's now-defunct Fenty line. Working collaboratively, they wore pieces “Phresh Off The Runway” at the Gucci Autumn/Winter ‘22 show, while more recently, they delivered a big Rick Owens drip in coordinate khaki at the premiere of the latest Black Panther flick. Dueting in the studio might come naturally to them, but synced-up 'fits land just as easily.
Last night at the Golden Globes 2023 it was a similar story, with the musicians donning matchy fits that sweetly sang to one another. Rihanna, who was on hand to find out whether she'd scooped a Globe for her track “Lift Me Up,” which was nominated for Best Original Song, turned out a look for the books: a custom velvet Schiaparelli gown which was muted in color, but high tempo in size with an oversized cape detail and trawling train.
Next to her, Rocky paired up with his girlfriend in a traditional black tuxedo (something he's very in tune with) from Bottega Veneta, which featured satin lapels, and which he complimented with a white button-up shirt and skinny black tie. Further proof of their dressing in cohorts? His diamond earrings complemented Rihanna's dazzling neck garb Cartier earrings and an 18-carat white gold and diamond choker, no less.)

And sure, there were other couples doing their thing – Kaia Gerber and Austin Butler, Anya Taylor-Joy and Malcolm McRae – but, being new ‘rents and all, Ri Ri and A$AP scoop the award for not skimping on their big 'fits.
