Parker Posey is fully leaning into her chaotic The White Lotus character — right down to the purse.
The actor attended the grand opening of Printemps in New York City on Thursday, March 20, to celebrate the French luxury store's first U.S. location. Posey came to the occasion dressed to impress, while also paying homage to her now-iconic character from The White Lotus. The HBO series is currently in the middle of its third season with Posey playing a wealthy southern mom named Victoria Ratliff who has an affinity for prescription medication.
If you haven't been following along this season (we highly recommend that you do), then you might not have noticed the Gucci bag that Posey brought to the Printemps opening, but eagle-eyed fans did. Posey showed up clutching her cream-colored Gucci bamboo 1947 top-handle bag, which plays a role in the show. It's not just any bag on The White Lotus — it's also the vessel that contains Victoria's beloved lorazepam that go missing while on a yacht trip.
While we're not sure what treasures Posey was holding in the bag in real life, it is a fun nod that she brought the bag in the first place.
To pair with her generational wealth-style Gucci bag, Posey leaned fully into the old money aesthetic with a dramatic Gucci coat, silk burnt orange dress, and a pair of Roger Vivier jewel-heel rhinestone buckle pumps.
