Olandria Carthen is integrating herself into the fashion world one red carpet at a time, and her latest outing proves she’s planning to be here a long time. The Love Island USA season 7 alum stepped out to attend InStyle’s Imagemaker Awards in California on October 23, wearing a vintage black satin gown from Roberto Cavalli.

Lace has always been a staple in celebrity fashion, and now more than ever, we’re getting it in fun styles as the rise of lingerie-first type looks continues to infiltrate celebrity street style and red carpet looks.

Carthen added a bit of flair to her take on lace, opting for this floor-length dress. At the top, with its trim, the look resembles an early 2000s lace cami top — a staple of Y2K fashion that is currently having a resurgence in popularity. The dress also featured sheer panels across the leg, resembling a slit without fully committing to one. She kept the rest of the look simple, going Old Hollywood glamour with barrel curls and a deep side part. Her makeup featured a prominent red lip, which she complemented with dangling silver earrings.

Olandria Carthen has been on a mission à la early era Law Roach and Zendaya, slowly but surely positioning herself in the fashion space. From these gorgeous red carpet looks to walking and attending fashion week shows, we’re seeing her leave her mark in the industry very quickly. And that has a lot to do with her stylists, Matthew and Reginald Reisman. Their whole goal is to carve out a space for Carthen in the fashion space.

"We wanted to show a bigger story of where she can take this new fame," Matthew Reisman said in an interview with Fashionista, talking about his work with the rising star. “We felt this obligation to really push and help carve out an opportunity and build her up.”

"We're excited about the future with her," Matthew continued. "We're really happy for her. We're very grateful that she reached out and gave us the opportunity, and she believes in us as much as we believe in her. The whole thing is so humbling for all of us, so we're just really thankful."

And this partnership seems to be working because the fans cannot get enough of every look she steps out in.
