The nominees for MTV's 2016 VMAs were announced earlier today and with all the great music put out this year, the competition was steep. So steep, that the list of Moon Man hopefuls even got a direct series of responses from Nick Jonas on Twitter.

You see, as soon as the nominations dropped, the singer first tweeted the expressionless face emoji. (And nope, he wasn't being neutral about the situation at all.) Though he normally comes off as calm and collected, Nick claimed he was snubbed and expressed how disappointed he was that his single "Close" with Tove Lo "got no love" from the awards show.

The star has opened up on his Tidal docu-series about how anxious he was with the way people were going to accept his new album, "Last Year Was Complicated", so can you blame him for letting out his feelings?

An hour later, Nick followed up with a few more tweets, it seems he reminded himself that he still has plenty to be proud of. For instance, his Future Now tour with Demi Lovato and the incredible amount of growth he's achieved in his career are both going strong. Even the biggest stars are human, so no Twitter rant judgments here. The important lesson here is that you can always find something to smile about even when things don't go your way — and Nick is proof.
