If the season 3 finale of The Summer I Turned Pretty left your heart with a coming-of-age-shaped hole, fret not, because Netflix is on the case. Enter: Crew Girl.
In September 2025, shortly after the premiere of the sophomore season of the streamer's YA hit My Life With The Walter Boys, Netflix announced its new coming-of-age teen drama effort, titled Crew Girl, and it definitely looks like we could be in for another contested love triangle.
Produced by Thunderbird Entertainment's scripted and unscripted live-action division, known as Great Pacific Media, Crew Girl comes from the mind of Vivian Lin, whose name you might recognize from Killjoys, SkyMed, The Lake, and Popularity Papers, among others. Lin serves as showrunner, writer, and EP for Crew Girl.
If you want to know more about the project, we've compiled everything we know so far — from the main plot to the cast and characters and more.
What will Netflix's Crew Girl be about?
Netflix's Crew Girl is described as a “frothy, coming-of-age teen drama” centered on a 16-year-old female rower named Teagan. As per the official logline shared by Netflix, Teagan “becomes the coxswain of a dysfunctional all-boys rowing team at an elite East Coast Prep School.”
The show promises “warring rivals, messy romantic entanglements, and betrayed friendships who spill drama both in and out of the boat. Not to mention her complicated relationship with her mom, Ella. The team’s a mess, her life’s a mess. Can she fix both and win?"
