Naomi Osaka is offically a mom! On July 11, People confirmed that the superstar tennis champion gave birth to a baby girl.
"They are doing well," the source told the outlet.
Osaka announced her pregnancy in January with an ultrasound image posted to social media. “Can’t wait to get back on the court but here’s a little life update for 2023,” she wrote.
In a screenshot, she shared further, "The past few years have been interesting to say the least, but I find that it's the most challenging times in life that may be the most fun,” Osaka said. “I know that I have so much to look forward to in the future, one thing I'm looking forward to is for my kid to watch one of my matches and tell someone, ‘that’s my mom.'” She also said that while she was focused on her family, she would be getting back on the court in 2024.

While she hasn't announced the birth on her own social media, in April she told People that she was thinking of giving her daughter a name that was "more unique than traditional."
