Nanny Wanted for Haunted House in Scotland

Ever wanted to live in a haunted house? Now you can, while getting paid for it. Listen to this pitch: You can live rent free in a large, historic property in the Scottish Borders — think spectacular views of rolling hills and sunsets — take care of two adorable kids, and earn £50,000 (a little under $64,000) per year. Plus, you get your own en suite bathroom and private kitchen in addition to your bedroom and 28 vacation days per year. Sounds like a pretty good nanny job, right? Well, according to this post on childcare.co.uk, the gig is available.

The only slight drawback is nannies keep leaving because of, well, spooky stuff going down in the supposedly haunted house. From the post [emphasis ours]:

"We have lived in our home for nearly 10 years. We were told it was 'haunted' when we bought it, but kept our minds open and decided to buy the house regardless. 5 nannies have left the role in the last year, each citing supernatural incidents as the reason, including strange noises, broken glass and furniture moving. This has obviously been a period of great upheaval for our children. We haven't personally experienced any supernatural happenings, as they have been reported only while we've been out of the house, but we're happy to pay above the asking rate, and feel it's important to be as up-front as possible to find the right person."

The most disturbing part is that the supernatural weirdness occurs only when the parents, self-described "very busy professionals" who are often absent from the home, are out. Maybe the whole post is a prank and there is no haunted house. If it is, frankly, it's pretty funny, and we'd be down to work for funny parents. Then again, if it's not a prank... what is it?
