Never Have I Ever star Maitreyi Ramakrishnan has never been shy about her love of video games, manga, and anime. The actor even cosplays as her favorite characters, including Sailor Mars at Comic-Con. Maitreyi's fandom runs so deep that she even made her love of one particular anime permanent with a tattoo!
Before the release of Never Have I Ever season four, Maitreyi took a trip to Spain to soak up the sun and enjoy time relaxing by the ocean. She shared a few pics posing in a super cute tangerine orange bikini, but we immediately zeroed in on her tattoos. The first one, located on her upper leg, sure looks like an ode to the popular Attack on Titan series. If you zoom in, you can see the ink is main character Eren Yeager's eyes when he changes back from his titan form. The tattoo is in the perfect place to be covered up for acting jobs but also serve as a reminder of one of Maitreyi's favorite anime. (Do you think she has one of the limited edition Uniqlo tees?)

The Eren design is joined by another equally hidden but significant tattoo. Maitreyi also appears to have a small tattoo of Kirby on her hip. It's hard to see in the vacation photos because of her bikini string, but it looks to be a design of the iconic pink puff riding on a star. In 2022, she told Thrillist that Kirby has always been her favorite character and that she got the tattoo to represent her lifelong love of gaming. "I grew up on Nintendo. That was my childhood. My dad brought a GameCube home one day, and my brother and I lost our minds," she shared.

Gaming is also one of Maitreyi's favorite forms of self-care. She told Glamour that when she has a minute for herself, she picks up her controller. "Nintendo has been a really big part of my childhood and my present-hood, let's call it that. I'd do it as a kid a lot," the actor explained. "That's why ever since I was a kid, I wanted to go to Japan. It's always been on my bucket list to visit the gaming towers there. Every level you go up in the building, the harder it gets, the more competitive gaming there is. It gets good!"
We have a feeling the Kirby and Attack on Titan tattoos are just the beginning for Maitreyi.
