Helloooo Islanders! We’re officially past the first week of a much-anticipated Love Island USA season 7 after last year’s wild and explosive season 6, which gave us PPG (stars Serena Page, Leah Kateb, and JaNa Craig), their partners (Kordell Beckham, Miguel Harichi, and Kenny Rodriguez, respectively), a spinoff show — along with a drama-filled summer with memes that kept on coming.
While it’s hard to imagine any other iteration of the U.S. version of the U.K. original dating show giving us moments as iconic as the reaction to iconic moments from the season, like Andrea’s dumping, “Now you’re sending TWO home,” “Soul Ties is crazy” and “F***CKKK AARON,” this new crop of Islanders look like they’re up for the challenge.
In a week alone, we’ve seen OG cast Chelley Bissainthe, Huda Mustafa, Belle-A Walker, Olandria Carthen, Ace Greene, Taylor Williams, Nicolas Vansteenberghe, Austin Shepard, and Jeremiah Brown swap spit in make-out challenges while host Ariana Madix watches in amazement. Plus: a secret single mom, a steamy photobooth kiss, and a very tearful dumping.
But as Love Island viewers know, things happen all day every day and they happen fast. As do feelings. Which means that the rest of us watching at home get to write and read hilarious memes and reactions after. This week, a lot of the audience had thoughts on Huda withholding her status as a single mom from couple partner Jeremiah for as long as she did. Others applauded Olandria for being real about Huda falling too hard too fast on just the first day in the villa (something Ace did later in the week as well). Meanwhile, Nic has already split viewers down the center with his “50/50,” wishy-washiness between couple-mate Belle-A and the very first bombshell Cierra Ortega (who joined alongside bombshell Charlie Georgiou).
