After leaving the Love Island USA villa Olandria Carthen seems to be on a mission to leave an impact and her fashion choices are part of it. From making her runway debut at Sergio Hudson during New York Fashion Week to her red-hot red carpet moment at the 2025 VMAs, it’s clear Carthen and her team of stylists — Matthew and Reginald Reisman — are positioning the reality television star as a fashion newcomer with ample room for longevity.

Her latest look, pulled from the summer-spring 2026 Fancí Club collection is no different. The peekaboo trend has been all over our social media, and this specific look is taking that vibe a step forward. The look featured an unclad lavender bustier corset, with a fashionably disheveled lace bra placed on top, and a red slip midi skirt. Carthen opted to wear the outfit without the matching gloves, and pulled her hair into a half-up-half-down look.

The Fancí Club moment was also a tutorial in stellar color blocking - an easy way to create a moment with seemingly simple pieces. Olandria Carthen and her team have good taste because the exact look was just worn by super model Paloma Elsesser in rapper Doja Cat’s latest music video, “Gorgeous,” that was styled by the Grammy-award winning rapper’s longtime stylist Brett Alan Nelson.

From the Mean Girls era, a pop-of-bra was an early 2000s staple, and now with two it girls like Carthen and Elsesser rocking this moment, wearing a bra on top of your top might just become a new trend that I absolutely can get behind. It’s another way to be cheeky and have fun with your clothes. Wearing them in eclectic ways as created by brands like Fancí Club is a sure-fire way to stand out sartorially, especially if that vibe feels intrinsic to your personal style. So long, peekaboo, hello, full view!
