Is Lana Del Rey hearing wedding bells? All signs point to yes as it appears the singer might have tied the knot with Jeremy Dufrene — a.k.a. alligator boat tour man — this week.
According to photos and videos obtained by British tabloid the Daily Mail, it appears Lana Del Rey and Jeremy Dufrene might have gotten married in an intimate wedding at a bayou — i.e. “a slow-moving creek or a swampy section of a river or a lake," for the uninitiated — in Louisiana. The tabloid reported the ceremony took place on Thursday, September 26, and Del Rey was walked to the altar by her father, Robert Grant.
Prior to footage from the wedding making the tabloids, TMZ had previously reported that Del Rey had obtained a license to marry Dufrene, citing the Lafourche Parish Clerk of Court as source. People later confirmed the license was obtained on September 23.
Del Rey and Dufrene went public with their relationship this September, attending Karen Elson's wedding in New York City together. The pair were photographed together holding hands. The month before, the two were also spotted holding hands backstage at the Leeds Festival in England. Previously, Del Rey had referred to Dufrene as her “guy” in an Instagram post from May, when she revisited Louisiana ahead of her headlining set at Hangout Music Festival in Alabama.
Though their relationship is relatively new to the world, Del Rey and Dufrene have reportedly known each other for a few years now, with posts of the tour guide on her Facebook appearing as early as 2019.
“Lana Del Rey getting married, in a swamp, to an alligator tour guide that she’s been dating for a month (all while denying it) was not on my 2024 bingo card, but honestly, it should’ve been,” wrote one user on X (formerly known as Twitter) while reacting to the news. "It’s the most Lana thing she has ever done. Anyways, congrats, babes!!" Well, yeah. Congratulations to the happy couple!
