During the Met Gala, Kylie Jenner looked effortless and chic while posing with designer Maximilian Davis of Ferragamo in her custom sheer corseted look, so little did we know that inside her shoes was a whole bunch of tape gluing the shoes to her feet.
Jenner herself revealed that it took a whole team to pry her shoes off after the event because she essentially glued them per Davis's instructions in a vlog-style recap of her getting-ready and getting-unready processes from the Met Gala night.
Towards the end of her video, which you can watch below, Jenner showed a close-up of her feet with shoes on as multiple people sprayed water to loosen the tape while trying to yank the feet from the glue. “Max told me to tape my feet into this shoe, and now my feet are stuck in the shoes. Ow,” she reveals in the video. (The pros know best!)

While the posted version of the vlog cuts off in the middle of the catastrophe, Jenner did post an update on her Instagram stories, where she reveals her feet did, in fact, survive the night and are now finally separated from the stilettos. “They're okay,” she wrote on top of a pic of her feet — yes, for free — which had a baby pink pedi on.
Tape is an MVP when it comes to last-minute tweaks at major events, but Jenner is definitely one of the first to let us in on this anti-slip use. One thing is for sure: nobody even noticed Jenner had taped her shoes on while she was walking the carpet — and that's a testament to her pro skills because her family has a, ehm, complicated history with shoes at the Met Gala.
