When Kylie Jenner dropped her pink-haired selfie on January 16, it felt like the world stopped. We saw the pic and immediately looked at our calendars wondering what year it was; did we just time travel back to Jenner's King Kylie era? The answer was no; Jenner had gone pastel pink to channel the 2014 vibes, and fans were beyond excited to see the return of King Kylie, her Tumblr-ruling alter ego from the 2010s. However, it appears that period was short-lived, as Jenner is back to her usual super dark hair.
The Kylie Cosmetics founder was spotted in Paris looking like herself once more. On January 23, she was snapped leaving dinner with her hair slicked down and back into a bun, paired with a sheer all-black 'fit. Her off-the-shoulder dress gave us a peek at the bodysuit underneath, and she wore black tights with black pumps, plus her typical' 90s-style black sunglasses.
The next day, Jenner pulled it back in an undone updo of loose, romantic curls, a gorgeous combo with the strapless ivory dress and mega-high clear platform shoes she wore to the Jean Paul Gaultier Haute Couture show.
We had a feeling the pink was probably a wig, as Kylie Jenner frequently changes up her look with a little help from hair pieces. Was it a secret promo for her boyfriend Timothée Chalamet's movie Wonka, what with the cotton candy color and all, or did Jenner just feel like taking a break from brunette? Though we love dark-haired Kylie, we'll always have a soft spot in our hearts for Tumblr Ky. (Our fingers are still crossed for a return to the truly iconic teal tips.) Valentine's Day is just around the corner, so maybe that pink hair will make a comeback sometime very soon, perhaps for a corresponding Kylie Cosmetics collection?
