Making his return to fashion’s biggest night, Cai Xukun, also known as Kun, just stepped out on the Met Gala 2026 red carpet.

Dressed by Thom Browne, he wore a sharp jacket and trouser combo for the “Fashion Is Art” dress code honoring the new “Costume Art” exhibition, centering the portrayal of dressed bodies in art. He wore one red contact lens, choosing to accessorize with motorcycle gloves. He styled his hair in a fun mullet with blonde dip-dyed bangs.

“Well the inspiration is coming from my new album, the title track is called ‘Deadman,’" he tells Teen Vogue on the red carpet. “I’m like bleeding right here,” he added, gesturing to his jacket.

The singer’s dedicated fans have been anticipating his attendance tonight after spotting him on his way to the Vogue First Friday party, a pre-Met festivity, at Madame Tussaud’s in New York City’s Times Square. For the late night celebration, he was dressed by Palomo Spain. He wore a brown silk suit, complemented by a purple bow blouse, left untied for a cool, laid-back vibe. He styled his dip-dyed hair loose waves and sported a pair of ‘90s-style rectangular sunglasses later in the evening.

This isn’t the first time the singer has attended the Met Gala. He made his debut back in 2023. That night, the theme honored Karl Lagerfeld, and Kun delivered by putting a twist on a classic suit. In lieu of a regular blazer, he wore a long coat, covered in sparkling embellishments. His tie was also studded with crystals, and to drive it home, he layered chain necklaces over it as well. He styled his black hair in subtle waves and pushed the strands back for an effortless cool look.

As Kun continues bringing his talents stateside, establishing himself as a fashion It boy at the Met Gala is a major feat, especially with not only one but two looks this weekend.
