Kristen Stewart may be a face of Chanel, but that doesn't mean the actor can't infuse some of her personal style into her red carpet looks — namely, the French fashion house's tweed suits. For the InStyle Imagemaker Awards, Kristen Stewart put her own spin on the Chanel suit by skipping a top under her tweed jacket.
Instead of the signature Chanel skirt suit, Stewart opted for a pantsuit in black and white tweed, with the jacket hitting around hip length. The jacket was pure, classic Chanel, with a round, collarless neckline and front pockets, edged in contrasting trim.
Stewart wore it buttoned right at the top but only buttoned that top button so we could see the black bralette underneath. Her midriff was bare, though the high rise of her trousers left just a few inches of skin uncovered.
The pants themselves were a straight-fitting trouser that pooled at her ankles, and she wore pointed toe black pumps to finish off the ensemble. While the outfit was singularly Chanel in shape, color, and texture, it also felt very “Kristen Stewart”: chic and classic but effortlessly edgy with a rock 'n roll attitude too. Stewart wore her hair in undone waves pushed over to one side for a casual vibe, minimal makeup, and a short black manicure.
This isn't the first time Stewart has put her own twist on the Chanel suit. Last summer, she toughened up a cream-colored skirt suit with a Mother Denim tank, socks, and peep-toe heels. In early 2024, she paired a box-style Chanel bag with two very different outfits: first, a black skirt and tee shirt styled with a baseball cap, sheer knee socks, and white sneakers, then a multistrand black beaded halter top and column skirt.
Stewart has been a Chanel brand ambassador since 2013, and it's been so much fun to see her interpret the essential pieces and outfits from the brand over the years.
