If you were looking to make your makeup look a little bit smokier as we head into fall and winter, KATSEYE's eyeliners might just be the perfect place to start. Sophia, Manon, Daniela, Lara, Megan, and Yoonchae each have their distinct makeup styles, ensuring inspiration is abundant within the group, regardless of your style preferences.
During their appearance at the Teen Vogue Summit last month, the members of KATSEYE got candid about their makeup routines and revealed some of their go-to eyeliners to the crowd, who were indeed taking notes. However, not all the members shares their beauty secrets, and that's where this post comes in handy.
In the quest to find the perfect eyeliner for everyone, we've searched high and low to round up all of the eyeliners that each member of KATSEYE has ever mentioned or used.
Sophia's eyeliner
During the Teen Vogue Summit panel, Sophia revealed she doesn't use black eyeliner but instead opts for dark gray in an effort to create a look that is “a little softer.” The star also shared that she no longer outlines her liner first and instead goes in with a pen marker right away, although she used to use eyeliner when perfecting her technique. While Sophia didn't share which brands she uses (and we couldn't find any clips online of her applying it either), we have rounded up three dark gray options that we think are great to recreate her look.
Manon's eyeliner
Manon has gone viral for her straight eyebrows, inspiring more than one fellow member to follow in her footsteps, but her eyeliner is also not to be slept on. The star favors a more subtle eyeliner look, so if you are just introducing it into your look, it's the perfect place to start. The focus of Manon's eye look is on her long eyelashes, so a good lengthening mascara, extensions, falsies, or even a lash lift are a good place to start. As seen on her Glossier tutorial, Manon actually uses the brand's Brow Flick in brown to create a super subtle cat flick only on the outer corners of her eyes.
Daniela's eyeliner
Daniela's eyeliner is equal parts smoky and defined. Speaking to Teen Vogue, the star revealed she actually currently uses a black eyeshadow from Makeup by Mario. However, in the past, she used a similar shade from the Tarlette palette. As shared on TikTok, Dani prefers eyeshadow since it's easier to correct mistakes. She starts by drawing a corner on the inner corner of her eye with an angled brush and then carries on the outer wing following the natural line of her eye.
Lara's eyeliner
Lara's secret to intense eyes is Indian kajal. “It's the best. It's so dark and black and pigmented,” she told Teen Vogue, sharing she gets “any kajal off Amazon.” In the Glossier tutorial, we can see she uses kajal for her water line, and she specifically used a Vasanti one in that video. She then continues her cat eye wing with One/Size Point made liquid eyeliner in black, which she also uses to fill in her brows.
Megan's eyeliner
At Teen Vogue Summit, Megan revealed she uses a Glossier gel eyeliner in either black or brown for her everyday eyeliner. While Glossier does sell a brush point liquid eyeliner called Pro Tip, that one only comes in black, so we are assuming Megan is a fan of the No. 1 Pencil, which the brand describes as “creamy” and “long-wearing.” In their Glossier tutorial, Megan actually uses a technique similar to Daniela's and applies Glossier's Shadow Stick shadow in Stereo with an angled brush.
Yoonchae's eyeliner
Yoonchae's favorite makeup product might be blush, but she also has her eye makeup routine nailed down to a tee. In the Glossier video, the star shares one of her go-to eyeliners, and it is the Kiss Me Smooth Liquid Eyeliner in brown. The product, a best seller in South Korea's Olive Young, is also available in a deep black shade and charcoal brown. Yoonchae draws a thin cat eye wing over a soft brown shadow and then finishes the look by doing some aegyo sal with the Glossier Boy Brow in Cool Dark Brown, which she also uses to fill in her brows.
