Kardashians Producer Says Show Could Keep Going Until North West Gets Married

Can you believe we've been watching the Kardashian-Jenner family go through their ups, downs, and everything in between for more than 15 years? Keeping Up with the Kardashians debuted on E! in 2007, introducing the world to the tight-knit clan who would soon become the first family of social media and reality TV, and it hasn't slowed down since. We've seen marriages, births, lipstick lines, sister fights, breakups, pranks, and so much more play out. KUWTK may have ended in 2021, making way for Hulu's sleek, highly-produced, documentary-esque series The Kardashians, but if a producer of the current show is to be believed, we'll be watching the KarJenners well into our own retirement eras.

In a new interview with Deadline, The Kardashians executive producer Danielle King revealed that the show will indeed go on for Kim, Kylie, Kendall, and all the rest — the show is currently in its third season, but King jokingly (we think?) said we can expect to see the family on our screens until "North's marriage." Yes, you read that right. The creative team seems to hope the show will still be running when almost-10-year-old North West ties the knot.

“We feel very fortunate that Disney picked us up for Season 5 and Season 6. We feel great about that,” executive producer Ben Winston said of the series thus far. While the Hulu version lacks some of the homespun charm of the early seasons of KUWTK, audiences are still interested in seeing what goes on with the family IRL. (Well, the IRL they choose to show us, anyway.) “What scares me and what excites me about this show is I’ve got no idea what Season 5 is going to be about and Season 6, which for a controlled maniac, you are like, ‘Oh god, what if they do nothing? What if they just want to watch TV?'”

Given the extended plans to keep this train running potentially until West follows in her mother's footsteps and broadcasts her wedding(s) to the world, could you imagine the possibilities? The next generation of Kardashians, including Stormi Webster and her little brother Aire, could take the reins from their parents for a whole new spinoff. We could follow Kris Jenner's adventures in a retirement community as she momages from Miami. North could take over the family business and teach them all the true power of TikTok. Then what happens when the Kardashian-Jenner babies have babies of their own? This really is the song that never ends.

We highly doubt the family will want to stop filming any time soon, given that it's been more than a decade of constant video surveillance and documentation of their every high-profile move. But honestly, as long as they're still stirring up drama well into the 2030s and beyond, we'll probably be watching.

The Kardashians season 3 is now streaming on Hulu.
