It’s been well over a decade since Kim Kardashian made her debut at the Met Gala, and in the following years, we’ve seen the other Kardashians and Jenners join her on the red carpet—including her fashion-loving little sisters Kendall and Kylie Jenner. The Kardashian-Jenner family, including momager Kris, is now a mainstay at the Met and we always look forward to what they're wearing on the first Monday in May, whether it's a feathered Versace sister-sister look like Kendall and Kylie wore at the “Camp”-themed Gala in 2019 or Kim wearing Marilyn Monroe's actual dress in 2022.
The 2026 Met Gala, with a “Fashion is Art” dress code, takes place on Monday, May 4, and we can't help but wonder if the reality television stars will be there and what they'll be waring. As we anticipate fashion's biggest night, let's take a look back at the Kardashians' Met Gala red carpet moments.

Met Gala 2025: “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style”
Momager Kris and sisters Kourtney and Khloé weren't in attendance for the 2025 Met Gala, but Kim, Kendall, and Kylie, now mainstays of the red carpet, were there.
Kim worked with Chrome Hearts for the 2025 Gala, walking the blue floral carpet in a custom croc-embossed fitted gown with a fishtail train and off-the-shoulder neckline, which she styled with an oversized fedora and tons of diamonds.
Kylie incorporated sheer elements into her 2025 Met Gala outfit, designed by Ferragamo. Her dress nodded to the tailoring aspect of the theme with a tightly fitted, sheer mesh corset paired with matching elbow-length mesh gloves. The skirt and halter bodice were made of a classic grey tweed fabric.
Kendall's skirt suit look by British designer Torishéju Dumi was one of our favorites of the night; it was simple but so beautifully tailored, with a fitted, draped jacket and long skirt with a fishtail train.
Met Gala 2024: “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion”
At the 2024 Met Gala, the Kardashians went bold, for better or worse. They sparked plenty of discussions and memes, even with Kourtney and Khloé absent.
Kim wore Maison Margiela on the red carpet. She opted for a metallic dress with a super-cinched corseted waist and paired it with a gray knit cardigan for fun contrast. Keeping the cool-toned color hue going, she opted for an ash blonde hair color—once again returning to platinum at the Met Gala.
Kendall's archival Givenchy lace cut-out look was business in the front, but the surprise in the back kickstarted the revival of a trend. The peekaboo effect of the lower back was later adopted by Sabrina Carpenter and others.
Kylie's custom Oscar de la Renta look was a bit more classically chic than her sisters' at first glance, but upon further examination, the pointed bodice was an elegant take on one of Madonna's most iconic looks.
Kris Jenner, also in Oscar de la Renta, attended alongside longtime partner Corey Gamble. The duo wore coordinated all-white looks embroidered with flowers, including a sweeping, dramatic coat for Kris.
Met Gala 2023: “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty”
The 2023 Met Gala was a more low-key event for the Kardashians. Only three of the sisters attended.
You couldn't miss Kendall on the Met Gala 2023 red carpet. The model wore a glittering collared Marc Jacobs bodysuit with bell sleeves that were so long, they draped on the floor like trains. To match, she wore a pair of sparkly lace-up platform boots that prompted her to avoid her sisters.
Kylie kept it simple with this two-tone Jean Paul Gaultier look. The color-coordinated overcoat, asymmetrical neckline, and thigh-high leg slit brought some fun flair to the outfit.
With the help of Schiaparelli Creative Director Daniel Roseberry, Kim took the Met Gala in a body-hugging dress draped in 50,000 pearls and 16,000 crystals. She completed the look with matching jewelry and a dramatic cape with a lengthy train.
Although North West hasn't attended a Met Gala yet, she did accompany her mom in getting ready and heading to the red carpet in 2023. In the process, she gave us plenty of hilarious commentary and a super chic look.
Met Gala 2022: “In America: An Anthology of Fashion”
2022’s Met Gala was a family affair for the Kardashian-Jenner family. All five sisters and their momager Kris arrived in full glam to the coveted event, which celebrated the golden age of American fashion with the dress code “Gilded Glamour.”
Kim Kardashian turned heads at the 2022 Met Gala when she wore the exact dress, custom-designed by Jean Louis, that Marilyn Monroe wore when she sang “Happy Birthday” to President John F. Kennedy in 1962. The dress was loaned to her by Ripley’s; the museum bought it at auction for $4.8 million in 2016.
Kourtney Kardashian walked the red carpet in her Met Gala debut with her partner Travis Barker in an ensemble by Thom Browne.
Khloe Kardashian made her Met Gala debut in 2022 in a Moschino gown that was covered in over 500,000 hand-sewn beads. The long, black gloves paired with this look elevate it to another level.
Kendall Jenner arrived in style in a Prada two-piece set that surprised everyone with its enormous skirt and see-through mesh tank pairing. And let's not forget the bleached brows!
Kylie Jenner’s wedding dress-like gown, which was designed by the late Virgil Abloh for Off-White, was definitely a bold choice. The mogul paired the dress with a baseball cap that included a veil to complete the bridal-esque look.
Kris Jenner wore a sleek and stylish Oscar De La Renta gown that channeled Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis. "I wanted to do something glamorous and chic.. and easy," she shared on the red carpet, in an interview.
Met Gala 2021: "In America: A Lexicon of Fashion"
2021 marked a big return to the Met Gala red carpet after the COVID-19 pandemic forced 2020’s to be canceled. "In America: A Lexicon of Fashion" was a celebration of American fashion throughout the years.
Kim surprised everyone when she showed up in this all-black, covered-up, head-to-toe Balenciaga look. “People would know instantly it was Kim because of her silhouette. They wouldn’t even need to see her face, you know? I think that’s the whole power of her celebrity,” Demna, the creative director of Balenciaga told Vogue.
This Audrey Hepburn-inspired look by Givenchy on Kendall was stunning. The model looked luxurious on the red carpet with the see-through crystal dress and the dramatic neckpiece.
Kris Jenner wore a sleek suit from Tom Ford with some embellishments from Alexander McQueen and Tommy Hilfiger— a little bit of everything for the momager.
Met Gala 2019: "Camp: Notes on Fashion"
2019’s theme was "Camp: Notes on Fashion" and several members of the family came ready to serve. We still can’t get over Kendall and Kylie’s juxtaposing feathery looks.
Kim’s Thierry Mugler dress took about eight months to make, according to the designer. The skin-tight latex gown channeled a wet, just out-of-the-water look which grabbed all of the attention.
Kendall and Kylie proved that they are an unforgettable dynamic duo at the 2019 Met Gala when they showed up on the red carpet in orange and purple Versace gowns respectively. The sisters wore looks that were perfectly catered to their personal style but still complimented each other perfectly.
Kris surprised everyone with this look! She paired a Tommy Hilfiger jumpsuit that had feathery embellishments with a blonde bob haircut—a major departure from her signature pixie.
Met Gala 2018: "Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination"
2018’s theme, which was "Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination," allowed the attendees to channel their most devotional selves.
Kim walked the carpet in this shape-hugging gold Versace gown. “This dress was inspired by the iconic gold chainmail and cross designs from the 1997 Versace couture show,” she shared in a tweet after the appearance. Her dramatic black-winged smokey eye completes the look.
Just a few months after having her first baby, Kylie graced the red carpet in this Alexander Wang gown. The zipper that runs along the side of the dress was not originally in the design, but was added after the gown ripped while the new mom tried it on.
Kendall wore a custom Off-White jumpsuit to the 2018 which she paired with sheer, white colored gloves. The train on the legs of her jumpsuit adds a stunning flair to the look.
Kris wore a feathery Tommy Hilfiger dress with gold trimmings.
Met Gala 2017: “Rei Kawakubo/Comme des Garçons: Art of the In-Between”
Kim, Kylie, and Kendall attended the 2017 Met Gala, which had the theme "Art of the In-Between,” a tribute to Rei Kawakubo and her work at Comme des Garçons. This was Kim’s first year attending solo and her youngest sisters accompanied her on the steps of the Met.
Kim opted for a simple look for her first year attending the Met Gala solo. She wore a sleek, off-shoulder, white Vivienne Westwood gown.
Kendall attended the 2017 Met Gala in a black and silver shimmery La Perla gown. Over 85,000 crystals were strung onto the dress to make it ready for the model to wear on the carpet.
The youngest sister of the clan turned heads in 2017 with this sheer, Versace gown. The star was all smiles on the red carpet as she posed for pictures.
Met Gala 2016: “Manus x Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology”
2016’s theme, "Manus x Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology," focused on the evolution of fashion as advancements in technology have been made. The members of the Kardashian-Jenner family that were present experimented with fabrics, styles, and motifs for the red carpet.
Kim wore a metallic silver gown by Olivier Rousteing for Balmain to channel her inner cyborg. The star rocked bleached eyebrows, way before it was trendy!
Kendall began to come into her own personal style by 2016 for the Met Gala, where she turned heads in an Atelier Versace gown.
Kylie made her Met Gala debut in Balmain, just like what her mom and older sister Kim were wearing the same night. She definitely made a statement with this gown and became one to watch on the renowned red carpet.
Kris Jenner sparkled on the carpet in 2016 in a black sequined gown from Balmain. The superstar mom was serving goth princess for the red carpet.
Met Gala 2015: “China: Through the Looking Glass”
"China: Through the Looking Glass,” was 2015’s theme and allowed for attendees to focus on the impact of Chinese design on the Western fashion landscape.
One of Kim’s most memorable looks was this gown by Peter Dundas for Roberto Cavalli which had a beautiful, feathery train that elegantly trailed behind her. She revealed after the event that she was pregnant with Saint at the time of the appearance.
Kendall wore a sparkly green Calvin Klein crocheted gown to the 2015 Met Gala. The top of the dress had a cutout, which was held together with a laced-up string, giving it a bit of personality, perfect for the young star.
Kris Jenner made her Met Gala debut in this bright red Balmain gown and her signature short hairdo. Her accessories elevated this look to give it an elegant panache.
Met Gala 2014: “Charles James: Beyond Fashion"

Kim made her Met Gala debut in 2013 with Kanye West. The star was pregnant with their first child, North, at the time and wore a floral Givenchy gown. “She was the most beautiful pregnant woman I've dressed in my career,” designer Riccardo Tisci told WWD.
