We knew Kanye West showed up to the Met gala in ripped jeans last night. What we did not know is that Kim's dress was two dresses cut apart and sewn together, because apparently Kanye was really committed to a DIY theme overall.
"Thank you Olivier for making 4 dresses for Kim to choose from which we chopped 2 in half," he tweeted last night.

So, yeah, while the finished product made Kim look like the most beautiful anthropomorphic disco ball to ever sprout legs, we are definitely imagining poor Olivier on the verge of a heart attack, while Kanye whipped out the scissors and strode confidently toward a multi-thousand dollar rack of Balmain.
He also appears to have used his "personal leather jacket" as the base for what became a couture piece.

Indeed, Kanye saw the Met Gala as a crafting adventure, sort of like spending a fun afternoon on Pinterest, only it probably cost more than your entire college tuition.
