Jenna Ortega has long been a force in young Hollywood, but the 22-year-old actor has officially cemented her status as an it girl of dark, romantic fashion with her red carpet looks.

At the 2025 InStyle Imagemaker Awards, the Wednesday star stepped out in a dusty purple semi-sheer Amiri dress that featured lace and a plunging neckline. Bodycon, and adorned with whimsical glitter stripes and floral appliqués, the effect was hauntingly beautiful, sensual yet moody.

The gown itself was part of Amiri's spring-summer 2026 ready-to-wear collection, but Ortega styled it with metallic platform pumps, a statement ring, and a delicate lariat necklace studded with multicolored jewels. She also wore a burgundy fuzzy wool shawl over the dress, adding to the effect of tormented old Hollywood elegance.

As for the glam itself, her hair was styled down, slightly tousled, adding a bit of edge to the overall look, while her makeup focused on rosy cheeks, a vampy lip, and her newly-bleached brows.

It's not the first time Jenna Ortega has pulled from the world of pseudo-goth couture for her style inspiration — she donned a similarly sensual piece at the 2025 Emmys, a Givenchy “naked” gown that was comprised of a black skirt and high-neck bustier made of oversized, strategically placed crystals that dripped down her torso. Not to mention, her press tour looks during the rollout of Wednesday season two had people wondering if she was method dressing: from lace-up leather boots to “tired” makeup, Ortega brought out a vault of otherworldly fashion that played with elements of sexiness and strength.

At the Imagemaker awards, Ortega presented her stylist Enrique Melendez with a special Future of Fashion award, acknowledging how much he empowered her ideas about style. "Enrique was one of the first people who ever made me feel seen or heard," she said in her speech. "Growing up in an industry like this you learn to become the puppet and stand there and do what you're told, and he always took everything I said with the utmost importance and respect and care … Yes we work together, yes he's one of my favorite visionaries, but more than anything he's my friend. He's been so good to me. He moves mountains silently."
