Super Bowl LIX is almost here, which means another culture-shifting halftime show and more Taylor Swift dancing memes. Wondering how to watch the Super Bowl 2025, from kickoff to halftime? Below, check out a complete guide on how to tune into the Big Game and a breakdown on what time all the action begins.

On Sunday, February 9, tens of thousands of football fans, dozens of your favorite celebs, and one President of the United States (???) will be descending upon the city of New Orleans to watch the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles face off at the Caesars Superdome.

The Eagles are the underdog this Super Bowl, with the Chiefs hoping to clinch a threepeat — if the Chiefs win on Sunday, it will be their third consecutive Super Bowl title. There’s also rumors that Travis Kelce could propose to Taylor Swift at the Big Game… but since it’s all speculation as of right now, we’re gonna place our bets elsewhere. Keep reading to find out how to watch the Super Bowl 2025 and ensure you’re tuned in for kickoff, the halftime show, and any potential proposals. (Cue the eye emojis!)

Bigger than the what? Rapper Kendrick Lamar will be headlining Super Bowl LIX and performing the halftime show with special guest, frequent collaborator, and TDE label mate SZA. Lamar is the first solo rapper in history to headline the Super Bowl.

It’s possible that Lamar will bring out other surprise guests besides SZA, but nonetheless, we are in for a treat. Per Apple Music, creative direction for this year’s halftime show will be provided by pgLang, Kendrick Lamar and Dave Free’s independent “multi-lingual” and multidisciplinary creative communications company.

“Lot of people don’t see the story before the glory, man. That sh*t is like, shuffling out your mixtapes and going to neighborhoods and parties and performing there in hole-in-the-wall spots,” Lamar told Apple Music Radio’s Ebro Darden and Nadeska Alexis on February 6 at the streaming platform’s official Halftime Show press conference.

“It reminds me of the essence and the core response of rap and hip-hop, and how far it can go. So, for me, that sh*t means everything,” he continued. “Because it puts the culture on the forefront, where it needs to be, and not minimized to just a catchy song or verse. This is a true art form. So to represent it on this type of stage is, like, everything that I’ve worked for and everything that I believe in as far as the culture. I live and die by it. This sh*t done changed my whole family life. I don’t take it for granted, at all, far as the art form.”

Just last weekend at the 67th annual Grammy Awards, Lamar took home five Grammys for his smash hit (and notoriously successful diss track) “Not Like Us,” including the coveted Song of the Year and Record of the Year. Before he heads out on the road on the Grand National Tour with SZA, the Super Bowl 2025 will surely be his well-deserved victory lap.

What time does the Super Bowl 2025 Halftime Show start?

The start time for the Super Bowl 2024 halftime show starring Kendrick Lamar and SZA will likely fluctuate depending on the pace of the game, but will probably start around 7 p.m. CT / 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT.
