Have you caught the Formula 1 bug? The sport has become much more popular in the United States as of late, with its star drivers, including Lewis Hamilton of Ferrari and Max Verstappen of Red Bull, becoming superstars in their own right.
Races take place all over the globe, from Shanghai to Monaco, but on May 3, Formula 1 is returning to the United States for the much-anticipated Miami Grand Prix 2026 — and you can watch it all on Apple TV.
“Miami is vibrant year-round, but when F1 comes, my hometown shifts into another gear — race weekend becomes a celebration at the intersection of culture, sport, lifestyle, and music," Eddy Cue, senior vice president of services and health at Apple, tells Teen Vogue exclusively. "It’s exciting to see a new wave of fans across the U.S. discovering and embracing Formula 1, and at Apple, we’re proud to bring the sport to more people in a way that reflects its energy and growing impact.”
If you want to tune in to see who wins the podium at the Miami Grand Prix, here's how to watch the race at home.
When is the 2026 Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix?
The qualifying race takes place on Saturday, May 2 at 4 p.m. ET, and the race takes place the next day, Sunday, May 3, again at 4 p.m. ET. (There's also a sprint on May 2 at 12 p.m.)
Where can I watch the Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix 2026?
Apple TV is the official new home of Formula 1, so if you have a subscription, you can tune in live. (It's $12.99 a month with a free seven-day trial if not.) According to Apple, the coverage will be in both English and Spanish and include a Driver Tracker so you can really see the race unfold with what they describe as a “birds-eye view,” which is pretty cool.
Is there more Formula 1-related content on Apple TV?
You bet! Apple has created some new original programming to celebrate Formula 1, including a “track preview series” called Circuits in Focus with 2016 F1 World Champion Nico Rosberg and content creator, record-breaking car builder, and driver Emelia Hartford; think of it like an in-depth pre-show. Then there's The POV, a social series that stars Red Bull Racing senior technician Calum Nicholas as well as content creator and engineer Christina Roki; this is more of a wrap-up show. Basically, you won't miss a moment or an important detail from any race, no matter if it's in Miami or Melbourne!
