Rihanna once again reigned supreme at Barbado’s Crop Over festival — the annual Kadooment Day parade that celebrates the end of the sugar cane harvest season. Year after year, Rihanna wows at the festival with spectacular fits.

Back in 2011 — Rihanna’s first Crop Over festival as a public figure — she wore a sparkling blood red bikini. In 2013 she opted for a white-themed fit, with a two-piece crystal bikini and a surplus of white feathers crowning her body, not unlike that of a peacock. Rihanna posted a side-to-side shot of these looks on Instagram that same year with the caption, “Then X Now.”

From there, her looks only have only become more complex. For example, in 2017, Rihanna wore an intricate crystal bralette, bright blue hair, and multi-colored feathers, which was created by local costume designer Laura Austin. Wow.

We’re clearly noticing a theme: FEATHERS. Feathers always play a key part in Rihanna’s Crop Over festival fits, and this year was no different. This year’s dress, designed by the Dutch designer David LaPort, extended outwards into an orbit made of pink feathers like an edgy baby-doll frock, but the outfit did differ in key ways. Notably, the pink minidress erred from the typical two-piece look and covered a bit more skin. Honestly, Rihanna looked like a music box dancer. The round silhouette made her look like a princess in a constant pirouette.

Also, we can’t help but notice Rihanna’s killer beauty looks. Her hair was styled in bantu knots, while her makeup look consisted of neon green eyeshadow, done by artist Priscilla Ono. The pop of green contrasted and popped against the pink frock. The cherry on top of the look was a pair of crystal-covered eyeglasses and pastel heels.
