Celebrity wax figures can be hit or miss. Some look nearly identical to their superstar twin, while others stray a bit too far from the mark. Thankfully Harry Styles' new wax doppelganger isn't a total wax disaster; in fact, the most recent wax statue is almost disturbingly lifelike, down to his chest hair.
A new batch of Harry Styles wax figures have just taken up residence in various Madame Tussaud's museums around the world, including one in Berlin. That particular statue wears a very faithful interpretation of the outfit Styles wore at Coachella, down to his signature hot pink feather boa, but it's his face that I can't stop staring at. Listen, I've been looking at Harry Styles for a long time, and the team at Madame Tussaud's nailed it with this one; at first glance, it almost seems as though this is Harry, down to the precisely applied facial hair on his chin and jaw and the sparse flicks of chest hair near his iconic sparrow tattoos.
Whoever created this statue obvious did it as a labor of love and paid extreme attention to every teeny feature and detail that makes Styles so special. Wait, am I attracted to a wax figure, or am I actually terrified of it? Let's say it's an even split.
The Berlin statue is one of seven new additions to the Tussaud's lineup. Billboard reports that the London statue, based on Styles's My Policeman premiere look, took more than 10 months to complete, and after seeing the up close and personal details of the Berlin Harry, I totally get it. You can now admire and pose with this alarmingly lifelike version of Styles at museums in London, New York, Hollywood, Amsterdam, Berlin, Singapore and Sydney. Get your selfie arm ready!
