But it's not really a stranger, it's Harry Styles! This exact situation just happened to Darnell Davis, who detailed his adorable encounter with the singer on Instagram and went viral in the process.
Davis recounted the run-in with Styles on Instagram, sharing that he was out for a walk in London when he ran into the star. “So, there I am, strolling through Regents Park, after my conversation with the universe, when this guy stops me,” Davis wrote. Styles complimented Davis's colorful, printed shirt and pants and orange hat combo, and Davis returned the compliment. However, Davis didn't know who he was chatting with until the two started attracting attention in the park. “Suddenly, a woman approaches us and asks for a picture. I’m flattered (clearly, the fit was on point), but she points at my new friend and says, ‘No, I mean with him!’”

Davis snapped the woman's picture with Styles, and a crowd began to form. “I’m thinking, Okay, who is this dude!? So I lean over and whisper, ‘Who are you?’ He grins and says, ‘I’m a singer.’ Cool, I think. I ask, ‘What’s your name?’” Of course, it was the one and only Harry Styles. Davis took a photo with Styles, who was wearing a powder blue cardigan over a T-shirt, gray pants, and orange-tinted sunglasses.
Davis had to Google the former One Direction member, as he didn't know he was hanging out with a superstar. “Not only do I find out he’s crazy famous, but he was born on February 1st — the same day as my mother. Talk about a cosmic twist!” Davis wrote.
The sweet story was also a powerful lesson about finding connection with others whenever you can — connection that can often begin with a simple compliment. "Moral of the story: Stay open to the universe, appreciate every encounter, and always be kind—you never know when you’re about to meet a global pop star (even if you don’t recognize him)."
