If the stars are out, you can guarantee the sheer looks are too. Celebrities are currently obsessed with sheer textures and peekaboo details on the red carpet and the runway, and Gigi Hadid just put a balletcore-inspired spin on the trend.

Hadid wore a barely-there sheer lace look at the Jacquemus fall 2023 RTW show at Chateau de Versailles, where she reunited with Kendall Jenner, walking the crimson red runway in a lingerie-inspired cutout minidress layered over a matching white strapless bra and matching panties.

The dress was made of the most delicate, angelic lace; cutouts at her chest, midriff, and hips were loosely tied in sweet bows, but the look could be worn open for more layering potential.

Equally angelic were the knee-high lace stockings, which Hadid wore with ballerina chic square-toed pumps reminiscent of pointe shoes. Her hair was tied back in a severe knot, and she, like the rest of the models, wore minimal makeup.

The Versailles-set show was a true summer spectacle, with guests arriving via boat. The flirty, sugar-sweet looks were inspired by Princess Diana and Marie Antoinette; you can just see the French queen wearing a similar look to Hadid in Sofia Coppola's beloved Marie Antoinette, can't you?

According to designer Simon Porte Jacquemus, this isn't the last we'll see of Jacquemus at the historic palace. Balletcore was all over the show, with models floating down the runway in tutus and tights, though the collection also included '80s-inspired cocktail dresses, playful coats, and even a few menswear looks.

This isn't Hadid's first sheer moment; she and Lady Gaga both wore a sheer black Versace gown, with Hadid wearing it on the runway and Gaga at the Oscars. The model can truly wear anything and everything, but this light and airy sheer lace look is particularly pretty on her, and if cottagecore and balletcore eventually morph into Marie Antoinette-core or Versailles-core, we won't be surprised.
