The chilly conditions in Paris have not dissuaded the fashion pack from wearing barely-there outfits to the shows. Florence Pugh defied the winter weather at Valentino's fall/winter 2023 show on Sunday, March 5, opting to wear a completely sheer sequined skirt – her underwear visible beneath – to take up her spot on the front row.
While the bottom half of her outfit was nothing short of daring, the star paired her party skirt with a grey sweatshirt – albeit one with a bejeweled collar, which matched her silver bag.
The actor joined fellow guests Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Nick Jonas and the Peltz Beckhams at the showcase, which took place at the Hôtel Salomon de Rothschild.
Florence has forged a close relationship with creative director Pierpaolo Piccioli – she presented him with the Designer of the Year trophy at the Fashion Awards in December, dressed in a backless Valentino gown – and is a devoted fan of his designs. She previously said that “wearing [Pierpaolo Piccioli] dresses [is] so easy, I step into his elegant designs and become alive.”
The look she wore at his latest Paris Fashion Week show isn’t her first outing in a see-through Valentino creation. Pugh memorably hit back at body shamers who commented online on the sheer pink gown she wore to the brand’s couture show last July. “There was no way there wouldn’t be commentary on it,” she wrote on a picture of the look on Instagram. “What’s worrying is just how vulgar some of you men can be. Thankfully, I’ve come to terms with the intricacies of my body that make me, me… I’m fully aware of my breast size and am not scared of it.” Hear, hear.
