New video blog Minnie Muse offers a virtual glimpse into one super-well-connected teen’s adventures in fashionland.
SHOW-AND-TELL "I live in Chicago, but in the past few years I’ve had some amazing opportunities within the fashion world, like attending New York and Paris Fashion Weeks and going to the Met Gala. My mom documents everything with a camera, but I wanted to do something different, so I started taking videos. After acquiring footage and taking into account the fact that there are very few video-based fashion blogs, I decided to share these incredible experiences."
ACTION STARS "Two of the most memorable encounters I’ve had were dinner with Lanvin’s Alber Elbaz and a sit-down with fashion icon Daphne Guinness. I was staying at the same hotel as her in the South of France last summer, and I sent her a note through the concierge asking if I could interview her. I couldn’t believe it when she wrote me back and invited me to her cabana! She was incredibly open and sweet. My dream interviews would be John Galliano, Karl Lagerfeld, Rick Owens, and Azzedine Alaïa. I also love [Chanel muse] Amanda Harlech."
SHOOT TO THRILL "My system is to film everything and edit later. I try to amass enough footage so my posts can always be consistent and interesting. Video is such an interactive way to share, and not only is it fun filming, I enjoy reliving each moment."
THE COOL CLICK "As far as other blogs, I love Jak & Jil, Hedi Slimane Diary, and Hanneli. But I try to make Minnie Muse unique. I hope it will continue to grow. My plan is to move to New York in the fall to start at NYU."
