When Elle Fanning hits the red carpet, she is there to make a statement.
The Teen Spirit star was recently spotted at the Cannes Film Festival in France, where she was channeling a vibrant version of Cinderella. While attending the Chopard Love Night dinner on Friday, May 17, Elle was photographed wearing a brightly colored fuchsia ball gown, complete with an off-the-shoulder scoop neckline and a tapered waist. The skirt billowed out around her legs, and as Elle held the hemline in her hands in some photos, she offered a peek at the many layers of tulle and fabric underneath. As the actor turned to look at the camera over her shoulder, she was definitely reminding us of Cinderella fleeing at the stroke of midnight — hopefully she kept her shoes with her, unlike the Disney princess at the ball.
Elle’s royal vibes didn’t stop at her gown, however. She finished off the look with glittering jewelry, shimmering pink eyeshadow, and the faintest hint of coral blush. Her blonde hair was swept off her face, save for a few strands around her ears, and she was confidently rocking a center part as only a high-profile celeb could.
Given the splash Elle recently made at this year’s Met Gala where she turned her manicure into a charm bracelet, we’re not surprised at all to see another major fashion moment from the actor.
