Dua Lipa is leaving the fate of her latest collaboration with Troye Sivan to the fans — literally.
The Radical Optimism singer took a bold and new distribution strategy over the weekend with a remix that's been in the vault. Lipa is currently on tour, and during her stop in Melbourne, Australia on March 22, the singer brought out Aussie Troye Sivan to perform his hit song “Rush.” Lipa helped him perform at the Rod Laver Arena while wearing her full-lace bodysuit and danced to the choreography alongside Sivan.
They then performed an unreleased remix of Lipa's song “Physical," before heading down to the crowd to ask the fans for a favor. Lipa stood in front of the crowd holding a pink USB that contained the “Physical” remix with Sivan, according to fan footage. “Are we trusting you to leak it?” Lipa asked people in the crowd, before handing it to one fan who thanked her with a big hug.
A version of the song has appeared on YouTube, so the fan may have actually uploaded it online as instructed.
Dua Lipa's international tour kicked off in Australia and is expected to continue well into the fall, making her way across Europe, Canada, and the U.S. Lipa's performances are always full of costume changes and custom couture — including her old Hollywood glam at the historic Royal Albert Hall in London, or the five outfit changes at Glastonbury Festival. From custom Chrome Hearts to a Versace slip dress, Lipa had many varying looks.
For her Radical Optimism tour, Lipa pulled out all the stops for her outfits, including a champagne-colored bodysuit by Jean Paul Gaultier with fishnet tights and sparkly knee-high boots. She then changes into a Chanel bodysuit adorned with gold chains, along with a Valentino catsuit, and a red Balenciaga faux fur coat. Lipa has been working closely with her stylist Lorenzo Posocco for each performance, creating her own unique aesthetic she's become known for.
