The 26-year-old is someone we were all eager to see strut up the infamous Met steps, and her ultra-cool suiting did not disappoint. The musician's style is always cohesive with an element of intrigue, so we expected this high-fashion moment from the rising superstar. She decided to wear an off-white, double-breasted suit with exaggerated coattails, along with checkered trouser shorts. She paired the suit with a silky maroon bowtie as well as a gold-accented belt, tiny tote, floral lapel pin, and earrings by Tiffany & Co. The look was topped off with maroon mid-calf socks and matching, platform Mary Janes.
For glam, she went '80s coolness with an afro; sweeping blush and eyeshadow; and a glossy lip with black liner. She finished off the look with an itty bitty SFX Louis Vuitton logo on her right cheek. On the blue carpet, Doechii explained how her look has been months in the making and draws inspiration from Black musician Julius Soubise, an eighteenth-century Dandy of Caribbean descent.
